Founder’s Note

For the better part of the last decade, mineral dealing and collecting has been a driving purpose behind my life's mission, while I slowly cultivated a calling of creativity and personal development.  Coming to an intimate relationship with natural, created beauty has always been an important part of my journey- an utter awe at the glory of creation which God fashioned for us. Such natural perfection brought humbly from  dirt and crust inspired within me a joy and appreciation of life that goes beyond a written word or insightful thought and sustained me through the happiest and also the most difficult periods of my life.  The stones that I have passed through my hands became like dear companions to me, spending time with them, admiring their complex geometries, nuance of color, and exhilarating qualities and coming to understand them through direct experience. I have been blessed to bring them with me in my various travels and experiences, to share them with others, and spread the natural beauty that is inherent to this glorious planet we reside on.

Since finishing my three year lease on my warehouse space about two years ago, life called me to pause my gem and mineral dealings and fully pursue my creative capabilities in the field of jewelry making, which I have been focused on with the full effort of my life. The hypnotizing and mesmerizing beauty of stones along with the at times overwhelming success of my business absorbed my attention for many years and distracted me from going through the difficulty of cultivating the skill of my hands.

While being a creative is now the primary focus of my life, it is time that I resume my exploration of crystals, gemstones, and minerals and begin to share them again in a more focused, steady, and cohesive way. I struggled to find a brand identity that truly resonated along with the proper acknowledgment of my philosophy behind this passion.

So with all this being said, I am proud to present my new project: Handiwork Minerals, a business rooted in reverence for the earth and the beauty it offers.

 This project is my way of sharing that in a clean, intentional way
